Short version
This extension has no account, no signup, no analytics, and no server.
It reads your own X (Twitter) bookmarks in your own logged-in browser
session, and stores everything — bookmark text, tags, summaries, read
state, and your API key — locally on your device, in
chrome.storage.local. Nobody but you and the AI provider
you choose ever sees any of it.
What the extension collects
When you click Sync, the extension opens (or focuses) your
x.com/i/bookmarks tab and scrolls through it to read the
bookmarks already visible in your logged-in session — the same page
you'd see if you scrolled it yourself. It does not ask for or collect
your X username or password, and it never sees your credentials: it's
working inside the browser session you're already signed into.
For each bookmark it reads the tweet text, author, and link. If you've added an API key, that text is sent to the AI provider you chose to generate a category and a one-line summary.
Where your data lives
Everything the extension stores — bookmark text, tags, AI summaries,
read/unread state, and your API key — is saved locally in
chrome.storage.local, a storage area tied to your browser
profile on your own machine. The developer does not operate a server,
does not receive a copy of your bookmarks, and has no way to see your
data. There is nothing to sync to an account, because there is no
account.
The only outbound data: your chosen AI provider
The one network call the extension makes with your data in it is to whichever AI provider you pick in Settings — Anthropic or OpenAI — authenticated with the API key you provide. That call sends the text of a batch of bookmarks and asks for categories and summaries back. Nothing else is sent anywhere.
Your API key is stored locally and is sent only to that provider, to authenticate that request. It is never sent to the developer or to any other third party.
If you skip the API key entirely, no bookmark text is ever sent anywhere — the extension still exports, saves, and lets you search your bookmarks, just without AI tags and summaries.
Because this data leaves your device, it's governed by the provider's own privacy policy, not this one:

What this extension does not do
- No account or signup, anywhere.
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
- No cookies.
- No ads.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your data with anyone.
- No server operated by the developer that your data passes through.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings and choose Delete all bookmarks to
wipe everything the extension has stored. Uninstalling the extension
also removes all of its local storage, since nothing exists outside
chrome.storage.local.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it. If a change is material, we will say so on this page.
